Christian Scientists look to God for prayer, healing, and progress and turn to our pastor, the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, to learn more about everyone’s relationship with God and ability to heal as Jesus taught.
First Church DC is a branch of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts, affectionately known as The Mother Church.

Church Services & Activities
Our in-person services are held with the expectation of healing and progress.
On Sundays at 10:30 a.m., we read the Christian Science Bible Lesson-Sermon and offer Sunday School classes for youth under the age of 20.
Each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., we hold an evening testimony meeting with readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Everyone is invited to share experiences, testimonies, and remarks on Christian Science.
Free childcare is available during each service. If you need to attend online, please email clerk@firstchurchdc.org for the Zoom link.
The Reading Room is open five days a week for everyone to explore, study, and purchase Christian Science resources. Please see the Reading Room tab for more information about its hours and other activities.
Location & Parking
First Church DC is located at 910 16th St NW on Black Lives Matter Plaza, a few blocks away from the Farragut North and Farragut West metro stops.
Free parking is available during church services and Reading Room hours. The parking garage is located at the corner of 16th and I Streets, on the I Street side of the building. The official location is 900 16th Street NW. After turning onto I Street, take an immediate right into the garage (adjoining Il Piatto).
